Not a 4 minute walk to the beach! It’s more of a 4 minute drive. I was a little annoyed to find this out since I had my 4 month old baby with us, so it wasn’t as easy as I was hoping to go back and forth to the beach. It’s more of at 10-15 minute walk to the sand. As for the house itself, we loved it! It was very clean and super cute. The kitchen had plenty of dishes for us to use as well! We could potentially stay here again just with the expectation that it’s not as close to the beach as described.

I did quite a bit of research before I selected this particular home for our stay in Carlsbad. After comparing beach locations , price, photos, and descriptions, I felt that this home was perfect for my family's 3 day holiday. It did not disappoint! We had 3 adults and 4 children ages 7, 5, 2 and 8 months staying in this unit. Our primary focus was the ocean. It was an easy walk to Tamarack Beach and we really appreciated all of the beach accessories available in the garage. Note: Not all of the beaches have showers but Tamarack Beach has a shower area outside of the bathrooms. With 4 young kids, it was so helpful to be able to clean up before we returned to the unit. The home is beautiful, newly built, and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. It was an unbelievable find. Everything about it was beyond our expectations. Wyatt is the perfect host. He responded within minutes to any questions /concerns regarding the booking. Yes, there are trains nearby. They were the highlight for the kids!!

The house is clean and well stocked. It could use an extra blanket or two. It’s nice to have a brand new space!

The place was lovely. We had 3 families, 10 people, 2 toddlers - we were all comfortable and it was very user friendly.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family. It was extremely clean, had upgraded appliances, very comfortable, and everything you could need for an extended visit. Wyatt was an excellent host and was really responsive and accommodating. Two things to note: the train nearby does cause some noise but it did not really bother us at all and actually became a fun thing for my daughter to watch everytime it came by. Also Tamarak Beach has been hit hard with high surf and has lost the majority of its sand. I am sure this will get resolved though soon. Either way, I highly recommend this spot!

We had a great stay in Carlsbad. The place looked just like the photos (the bunk beds looked surprisingly larger in person) and everything was spotless. It was easy to find and easy to get inside. Our rental vehicle unfortunately did not fit in the garage because we had to accommodate 6 people plus luggage, but thankfully the other vehicle fit and the spot next to the home was often available. I had questions when we checked in and Wyatt responded within a few minutes. The home was a quick walk to the beach and there were plenty of beach towels available for us to use. I would recommend if you’re a light sleeper to bring ear plugs. There is a train not too far away that blows its horn and while I was able to sleep through it some people in the house said it woke them up. All in all I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It really is a lovely home in a lovely area.
